Lok Adalat disposes off 447 cases, awards over Rs 1,86,84 crore to litigants

ITANAGAR, 11 DEC 

 

Over 447 pre-litigation and pending civil and criminal compoundable cases were settled and a whopping Rs 1,86,84 crore was awarded to litigants and financial institutions during National Lok Adalat held across the state on Saturday by Arunachal Pradesh Legal Services Authority.

 

The National Lok Adalats were held at the District & Sessions Court, Yupia, Pasighat, Tezu, Bomdila, Ziro, the Additional District & Sessions Court, Basar, Chief Judicial Magistrate Courts of Aalo, Yupia, Pasighat, Ziro, Seppa, Roing, Changlang and Judicial Magistrate First Class Courts of Yupia, Tawang, Namsai, Koloriang, Khonsa, Daporijo and Longding in 19 benches.

 

The CJM, Aalo conducted the Lok Adalat proceeding through virtual mode for parties residing in faraway locations.

 

National Lok Adalat is conducted every quarter year to provide an amicable and speedy solutions to parties in various pre-litigation and pending cases in various courts of the country.
