East Siang veteran football league kicked off

PASIGHAT, 11 DEC 

 

The East Siang Veterans Football League (ESVFL) – 2021 was kicked off at DoyingGumin College Playground here today.

 

Over six teams are participating in the 10-day long football league. The League is being organized by the Abor Youth Foundation, an NGO based in Pasighat.

 

Dr EgulPadung, principal, DoyingGumin College and Dr TamakTamuk, president of District Football Association (DFA) graced the event as the chief guest and guest of honour.

 

A one-minute silence was observed on the demise of Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat on the occasion.

 

In the opening match, the defending champion, Pasighat Veteran Football Club (PVFC) thrashed Siang United Sporting Club (SUSC) by 9-0.

 

The final match will be held on December 19, informed Thomas Ering, competition director, ESVFL -2021. (DIPRO)
